The piece begins with a gel plate photo transfer layered over a hand-painted, fine paper background. From there, additional mixed media marks and textures are built up to create depth and movement, allowing the image to shift between realism and abstraction.
Mounted on an 8 × 10 inch flat wood panel, this one-of-a-kind artwork captures both place and process in a single expressive composition.

This original diptych is based on a single street scene in Tribeca, New York City, viewed from two distances. Both pieces are anchored by the Sun Building temperature clock, marking the conditions of the city.
Each artwork is created on an 8 × 8 inch flat wood panel and begins with a photo transfer of my original photograph, taken in Tribeca in 2023. Vintage paper collage layers are integrated into the surface, followed by hand-painted marks using acrylic paint pens and pencils. The result moves between realism and abstraction, texture and line, observation and memory.
The two pieces are designed to be displayed together as a set.
